We recently completed a lebus shell installation in conjunction with spooling and lubrication services. Our new custom designed lubricator body was tested during the service with outstanding results.
Lubrication Chamber Specs
We were able to generate in excess of 500 psi in the lubrication chamber, ensuring proper lubrication of the 0.680 steel armored fiber optic umbilical. By passing the umbilical through this pressurized chamber, lubrication is injected into the lower layers of armor and removing contamination from the surface.
The construction of the lubricator body is 6061 Aluminum, making it very light weight and user friendly. Two hoist rings are attached to provide true alignment of the lubricator body to the umbilical during spooling. Two end caps allow for easy installation and removal of the machined lubricator seals. Lubrication can delivered to the chamber in either of the two or both side ports of the lubricator body.
